Details and Forms
Mexico Mission 2007 is an eight day work project involving High School students from the Yuba-Sutter area and the people of Mexico. The project is sponsored by St. Andrew Presbyterian Church and AMOR MINISTRIES, a non-profit service organization working with the Mexican people. The trip is open to all Christian Churches and para-church organizations, and we encourage other youth groups and outside youth to become involved.
This trip is designed to provide housing to homeless Mexican families and to bring the student into a deeper understanding of a commitment to Jesus Christ. This trip will also benefit students by developing confidence in their ability to make a positive impact in the world. This trip will introduce young people to the needs of some of God’s children. It will allow participation in the solution to one little piece of the very large problem of global poverty. The young people will spend their week living among the poor and building houses for our poor. The homes will have two small rooms, a cement slab floor, waterproof roof, windows with no glass, and stucco walls. Very often these people have been living in cardboard “shelters” which are not only inadequate but dangerous.
